February marks the start of some exciting behind-the-scenes work at OPL as we gear up for Summer Reading. Along with upcoming programs and events, there’s plenty for our community to look forward to in the months ahead.

Annual Meeting- Join us for the Library’s Annual Meeting on February 9 at 5:30 PM. We’ll gather to reflect on the year and discuss what’s ahead for the library. All are welcome to attend.

Pi(e) Day- Save the date for our Pi(e) Day Fundraiser, happening on March 13 (just a earlier than the actual Pi Day)! We’ll be celebrating with plenty of pie and community spirit while supporting the library. We’re looking for bakers willing to donate homemade pies—sweet or savory are both welcome. If you’d like to help by baking a pie, please contact the library for details.

Find it in the Stacks- We’re heading into the second month of Find It in the Stacks, and the hunt is back on! Last month’s lucky winner was Glennys Doane—congrats again! A new ticket is hidden somewhere in the stacks, so keep browsing, exploring, and checking out books. You never know which book might hold the prize next.

3-5 Grade Programming- Our 3–5 grade programming has been full of fun (and tasty treats)! So far, participants have made pizzelles, brigadeiros, and palmiers. Along the way, we’ve been learning about the different countries where these cookies come from and exploring cultures from around the world. It’s been a hands-on, delicious way to mix learning and creativity.
