October brings with it our hoopla fundraiser.  We are excited to invite the community to help keep hoopla available for everyone.  With demand for ebooks, audiobooks, movies and music continuing to grow, usage has gone beyond our budget.  By sponsoring a day of hoopla for just $20, you can ensure that patrons continue to enjoy unlimited access.  Every contribution makes a difference and directly supports learning, entertainment and discovery for our whole community.

 

Programs during the school year - We have been having so much fun in our children’s programs this fall! In Sprouts, Story Hour, and our K–2 activities, kids have been busy exploring, creating, and learning together. We’ve read wonderful books, played games with vegetables, and even built our own rainbows. The children got creative making oversized hands to wave during homecoming, and they’ve started discovering the world around them by learning about maps. Each week brings something new and exciting, and it’s been a joy to see their curiosity and imaginations grow.

 

Save the Date- The OPL will once again be hosting the Grinch Breakfast on December 6th.  Come have grinch cakes and enjoy the festivities!

 

 Sensational Seasonings -  For October, the seasoning is Harvest Blend Rub.  Harvest Blend Rub is a tasty mix of onion, garlic, carrot, tomato, parsley, and spices with a touch of mustard. Lemon and orange peel give it a fresh citrus flavor, making it great for meats, veggies, or potatoes.

 

Tea-riffic Pairings  - For the month of October, our pairing will be mystery/thriller books with turmeric tea. Turmeric tea is a warm, soothing drink known for its golden color and earthy flavor. It’s often enjoyed for its calming qualities and natural health benefits.

 

Our hours are, M,T,W,Th - 10-6; F - 10-5; and Sat. 10-2.  The library is closed on Sundays.
