As The Page Turns - March 2018
Between sickness and weather, the library has had to cancel several programs in the month of February. The staff hopes all that is behind us now as we look towards some fun events in March.
Pi(e) Day – Mark your calendar for this special event. On March 14th, (3.14) we will be having our annual Pi(e) Day Fundraiser. Stop by the library beginning at 10 am and purchase a slice of homemade pie for $3, or a whole pie for $25. We have some fantastic bakers that are donating their pie baking skills to this event. Get to the library early as the pies go out the door quickly. We will have a pot of coffee on if you want to come and have pie and coffee also.
Northern Plains League Art Show – Once again the library is happy to host the Northern Plains League Art Show. Art from the high schools in the league will be in the library from March 6th – March 27th. The awards ceremony will be held at 10 am on March 27th. This is a great opportunity to view up and coming artists in our area.
Book of the Month – The book of the month for March is “The Second Mrs. Hockaday,” a historical fiction novel based on a true incident by Susan Rivers. The book discussion will take place on March 22nd for both the February and March selections.
Quick Reminder – During the month of April the library will not be having any children’s programs due to the paint and plaster project that will be going on. The library will be open through these renovations but we might be kind of messy when you visit.
