October 2020 As the Page Turns
The Osborne Public Library is still here to offer services to our patrons. We offer copying, faxing and scanning services. Our computer stations are open, two iPads are now out for use and you can always find something to read in the library. We are borrowing and lending books with other libraries in the state. Don’t forget that a library card can give you access to several digital book formats for free. Don’t forget that we have mobile hot spots also. The community room is still closed. Sorry for the inconvenience but it is a small room and social distancing is hard to do in that small of an area.
Story Hour – Our virtual Story Hour has been a hit. We are averaging 80+ views each week. Story Hour will continue in this format through December. Make sure to enroll your preschool child, age 3-5, so they can receive a packet of activities that go with each story. A new packet is put together every month that can be picked up at the library beginning the first of each month.
30 Days of Fall Fun – The library is encouraging our community to look for a little bit fun as we enter into the autumn days of 2020. Stop by the library and pick up a sheet of ideas for 30 Days of Fall Fun. This can be an individual or family activity. Let’s look for some positive things in the world around us.
New Books – We may not be doing programming but we are still getting in lots of books, movies, games, graphic novels, and other items for check out. Some of the latest arrivals are:
